Prop Firm Drawdown Calculator

Track maximum drawdown floors, daily loss buffers, and trades remaining before account breach across static and trailing prop firm rules.

How the Prop Firm Drawdown Calculator Works

Determine your effective loss floor by taking the higher of your maximum drawdown floor (account size minus max loss%) and your daily loss floor (start-of-day balance minus daily loss%). Buffer is current balance minus this effective floor.

Calculation Formula
Effective Floor = Max(Max Loss Floor, Daily Loss Floor)

Buffer = Current Balance - Effective Floor; Trades Remaining = Buffer ÷ Risk Per Trade.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between static and trailing drawdown?

Static drawdown stays permanently fixed below your starting balance. Trailing drawdown moves up as your account equity or balance rises, locking in higher loss floors.

Which floor is applied if daily loss is closer than max loss?

The more conservative (higher) floor always takes precedence. If your daily limit floor is reached, your account breaches even if your overall max drawdown has headroom.
